This is my not ready for primetime (aka the local newspaper) blog. This is about my research into one of my family lines, the Thackers. That this limb of the family tree is bi-racial has taken me by surprise and has left me a little off balance. It is odd that this should be the case. Why is this different for me than finding out that I am part say, Ukranian or Lithuanian? I don't know - but it is. That's part of what I wish to explore. So come along with me, as I search out my non Anglo-Saxon roots.
